Scope of Works:

• Following years of neglect the war memorial in Bethesda was highlighted in 2010 as a necessary project for the local council and following a tender period Quadriga were appointed to carry out the works.

• Initially the memorial was hot-washed followed by a JOS clean to remove all remaining deep staining.

• All joints to the memorial including the floor were raked out by hand and re-pointed with a lime based mortar following approval from the Conservation Officer. Stone repairs were also carried out.

• Finally a masonry biocide was sprayed to the top level of the cenotaph to help hinder any future vegetation growth.
