Contract: Complete external restoration of timbered framed building.


Scope of Works:
• Roof works included, redressing lead works and all damaged and loose roof slates were replaced or secured.
• Removing all defective timbers, installing new oak sections or carrying out resin repairs where necessary.
• Restoration was also carried out to the lime rendered panels to prevent further water ingress taking place.
• All the decaying sections of the window frames had to be removed and renewed with new oak sections or resin repairs.
• All new components such as leaded windows, cast iron casements and other members are being reinstated to match all the original features.
• In addition to this all cast iron rainwater gutters, brackets and down pipes are being restored and a sprung wire bird deterrent system will be installed.
• Finally the whole façade of the building will be painted in the traditional black and white paint in specialist Farrow and Ball paint.
