CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Bird repellent system installation – wires and netting

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • Firstly remove any live birds, chicks, eggs, nesting materials and droppings from affected areas (expansion joint walkway).
  • Residual spray the affected areas with phenolic germicidal spray.
  • Drill a series of holes at even centres and install corner and intermediate fixings.
  • Attach the perimeter wire rope to the fixings using crimped ferrules incorporating barrel strainers to tension the wire rope.
  • Attach the net to the wire rope using hog rings and ensuring the net is square to the structure and taut.
  • The area in front of the walkway to be proofed using galvanised mesh sheeting and 50mm netting.
