CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Stabilisation and stone refurbishment of memorial

SCOPE OF WORKS:

• Erected a boarding around statue to protect against unauthorised access.
• Excavated trial pits around the monument to see what the soil was built up from.
• Scaffolding was then erected around the statue to protect from any further movement
• A company called Uretech injected liquid foam into the ground and the foundations of the monument to establish it and reposition the statue in an upright position.
• Upon completion of this work, the paving stones around the monument were replaced and a high pressure wash was used to clean the statue.
