CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Stone replacement, structural pinning and restoration
SCOPE OF WORKS:
- Many stone blocks replaced due to localised ground movement which were stabilised with concealed structural pinning
- Replaced and shaped over 270 stone blocks with new matching Tottenhoe Clunch, sourced from the same quarry as the original material
- New feature stones were hand carved from Cadeby Limestone
- Installed stainless steel CemTies, which were grouted into the stonework to secure the buttress where cracking had occurred.
