CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Repair / restoration of timber foorbridge 130Lm long across a ravine between 9th and 10th holes of the golf course

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • Provision of access via 4 wheel drive vehicle.
  • Temporary support work to main pile legs in order to cut away decayed feet.
  • Introduce stainless steel reinforcement and reforming of pile feet using epoxy resin mortar.
  • Removal of deck boarding and replacement with keruing boards.
  • Removal / replacement of handrail and posts with Iroko posts and handrails.
  • Application of Methyl Methacrylate non slip deck coating to keruing.
  • Application of sikken stain and preservation to decking and handrailing.
