SCOPE OF WORKS:
- Restoration of the high level roof timbers, many of them dating back to the 13th Century.
- Damage caused by a widespread attack of the common furniture beetle.
- To prevent further deterioration of the load bearing trusses and bosses that support the roof, timber treatment was necessary.
- De-frassed and treated all accessible timber by spraying it with Micron 8 preservative to help against further insect attack.
- On the severely affected areas, Deepwood 20 was brushed on to provide extra protection.
- Insect infestation was eliminated and timber has been carefully preserved for the future.
