CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Damp and watreproofing, concrete repair

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • Carry out survey and mark up defective areas in the underground service duct.
  • Cut out defective concrete using suitable plant.
  • Remove all dust and debris and remove to skip/rubbish bags for removal.
  • Inspect state of steel reinforcement and position new if necessary. Prime existing steel work with steel reinforcement primer applied in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Wet-on-wet apply concrete repair mortar in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions to restore concrete substrate to its original profile. Care should be taken to fill all voids ensuring full encapsulation around the exposed reinforcement.
  • Each repair to be finished with a wooden float.
  • Apply fairing coat if required in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Attend site and using Sika 4a plug any points of water ingress, mechanically prepare concrete to receive 200mm wide sikadur combiflex Hypolon Strip.
