CONTRACT OVERVIEW: Timber treatment

SCOPE OF WORKS:
Restoration of the high level roof timbers, many of them dating back to the 13th Century.
Damage caused by a widespread attack of the common furniture beetle.
To prevent further deterioration of the load bearing trusses and bosses that support the roof, timber treatment was necessary.
De-frassed and treated all accessible timber by spraying it with Micron 8 preservative to help against further insect attack.
On the severely affected areas, Deepwood 20 was brushed on to provide extra protection.
Insect infestation was eliminated and timber has been carefully preserved for the future.
