17 Friar Lane, Leicester

Quadriga today start work on number 17 Friar Lane, Leicester.  The Georgian house, originally built for William Bentley in the late 1700’s, has been described as “the handsomest Georgian house now left in the old town”

The Grade II listed building has had several uses over the years to include; a Junior School, it housed the County Health Department and was also used as a Public Health Laboratory. 

The works which are expected to last around 6 weeks will include window repair and decoration, masonry repointing and cleaning, lead repairs and brick replacement.
