Reconstituted stone

Natural stone can be expensive to replace so reconstituted stone is often an effective and relatively inexpensive alternative. A reconstituted stone repair requires considerable experience on the part of the craftsman as sufficient stone, but no more than necessary, has to be cut back to make a good repair. Reinforcement is then carried out with non-ferrous metals and anchored to the sound stonework. The reconstituted stone can then be applied, taking great care to ensure the mix is of a similar density to the existing natural stone. It is then built up to the required thickness and finished with a wooden float to give a natural texture to the repair.

Skill and experience is essential to ensure that the repair does not dry out too quickly and that the original lines of mouldings are followed. Quadriga employs skilled craftsmen and operate a hands on training scheme for trainees to ensure the craft continues with the same attention to detail.

We ensure that the work we do is primarily of high quality, professional and cost effective. Contact us NOW on 0808 100 3777 to discuss how we can help you.
