Contract - Concrete Repairs and Cathodic Protection
• Hammer testing surfaces of concrete to determine location and extent of damage, mark damage on surface of concrete and record on schedules
• Concrete repairs - break out damaged and defective concrete back to a sound alkaline substrate; saw-cut perimeter of repair area; remove debris from site; mechanically clean and prime surface of exposed steel reinforcement; apply bond primer to surfaces within repair zone and reinstate using polymer modified cementitious mortar including all necessary formwork.
• CP installation - expose steel reinforcement and test for continuity between the steel within the concrete, areas that are discontinues will be bonded into the steel that is being protected
• Mark out the cp system layout on the surface of the concrete as per the design. Grind chases into the concrete surface so that the anode ribbon can be concealed within the concrete
• Installation of reference electrodes, cabling and power supply
• Record installation data throughout the cathodic protection installation
