| Bird control is a highly specialised area in the conservation and preservation of building facades.
In areas of high pressure where hundreds of birds may roost every night, the resultant fouling is not only unsightly, but can also be the source of up to 60 humanly transmittable diseases.
Specialist systems to deter or prevent birds roosting on facades and structures include:
Netting
The most effective and long lasting proofing system. All of our netting systems carry a 10 year "no roost" guarantee. Netting should always be the first option when considering bird proofing a facade.
Needle Strips
Effective against pigeons and gulls on ledges such as window cills. These consist of a series of stainless steel wires fixed to a polycarbonate base and adhered to the masonry by silicone resin.
Sprung Wires
Sprung wires consist of stainless steel posts and spring tensioned wire stretched along a roosting ledge.
