Skipton Town Hall is a Grade II listed Victorian building designed in the Classical style and built in 1862.  The Town Hall acts as a hub for culture and heritage in the Craven district and we were delighted to have been a part of its restoration.

 

Works included:

  • Erection of scaffolding
  • Superheated steam clean of the façade
  • Descaling friable stone and redressing adjacent stone at low and high levels
  • Repointing of the façade
  • Stone repairs using repair mortar
  • Stone indents
  • Replacement of timber ceiling in the portico
  • Reinstatement of lime plaster in the portico
  • Installation of new pendant lights in the portico
  • Window redecoration
