If you’ve ever been to Liverpool, you’ll have seen the two 6 metre Liver Birds sitting on top of the Royal Liver Building. According to local history the birds are named Bella and Bertie. Bella looks out towards the sea protecting the port and Bertie faces the city, keeping a watchful eye on the citizens of Liverpool. Legend has it that if the two birds ever face each other Liverpool will fall.
